Another Break

I am taking the rest of the week off. I have finals and some sort of year-end review thing. I don't know. Whatever.

Crazed fan brands self

A few weeks ago I got an email from a fan requesting some original artwork from me to be used for a tattoo he was planning on getting. I did the drawing, sent it to him, and forgot about it.

Then yesterday, another email. It had this picture attached:


I know, right?

I told the guy I'd post his words of wisdom along with the picture if he actually went through with it. I guess he's recently had a breakup of his own.

"I still have a lot of touching up to do, so I will eventually send new pics when it is finally done. At a hundred bucks an hour, things get pretty pricey pretty fast.

I have not really decided what kind of letter I would want to have you post on your page concerning my new piece... I have never really been good with words. I just know that a lot of the time someone can get so distracted by work, bills, worry, selfishness, apathy, depression, Hell, life in general that it becomes so easy to forget that you have someone alongside you suffering not just with you, but because of you. Then they leave and you cry out "Why?" You blame them, the mystical "Him", the whole world, even God for making the damn world... And when the smoke clears, and the heated emotions of loss subside, you see how in your close mindedness you were the one that hurt them enough to leave...

You hurt the one that tried so hard to fix things for you....

You hurt the one that tried to live for two people...

And you realize just how bloody your hands are.

That is what Kal symbolizes to me...

Shit, just post this e-mail, I am not going to get any better than that at
making me make sense.

Thank you Ken, for being a random stranger that still managed to create a satire of my life.
